Los Angeles-based Information security management services specialist Citadel Information Group has been acquired by public accounting firm Miller Kaplan, the companies announced Feb. 3. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2002 by Dr. Stan Stahl and Kimberly Pease, CISSP, Citadel provides a wide range of information security management services, covering vulnerability assessments, staff awareness training, IT security management, incident response, business continuity planning, and virtual-CISO (vCISO) training.

“In today’s new normal, businesses must manage the security and privacy of information with the same discipline that they manage finance and other critical business operations,” Stahl said. “Senior management must make sure IT is securely managing the network while adapting the organization’s culture so all staff have the knowledge, skills, and commitment needed to meet the ongoing challenge of protecting identities and profits. The team at Citadel will continue on with its work. Stahl began his career securing teleconferencing at the White House and databases inside Cheyenne Mountain, helped secure the communications network controlling the country’s nuclear weapons arsenal. Pease, earlier in her career, implemented computer systems for a wide-range of organizations in the U.S., Canada and Europe, and led installation projects at the Pentagon, the Government Printing Office, and other government offices. Security expert David Lam, CISSP, CPP, is a former CIO and CISO with more than 30 years’ experience in custom software development, systems management, and information security.
