NAGRA and Adobe’s Frame.io Win NAB Product of the Year for Solution That Protects Pre-release Content Against Piracy

NAGRA announced that the integration of NAGRA NexGuard Forensic Watermarking with Adobe’s Frame.io has received industry recognition with a prestigious Product of the Year award, presented at the recent NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Used worldwide by content creators, from major studios to global brands and agencies, Frame.io is a cloud-based creative collaboration platform that lets users manage and share media, track feedback, and streamline workflows. Global collaboration and protection are enhanced by NAGRA NexGuard Forensic Watermarking, which safeguards pre-release video content against leaks and piracy during the review and collaboration phases of content production.

NAGRA NexGuard Forensic Watermarking provides an imperceptible layer of protection for valuable pre-release content at every stage of the content production lifecycle. By embedding unique watermarks, the solution deters piracy and ensures the full traceability of any content leak.

“This award exemplifies our commitment to protecting creativity and fighting piracy,” said Nancy Goldberg, Executive Vice President and CMO at NAGRA. “Given the highly collaborative and increasingly distributed nature of content production, providing content owners with the capability to forensically watermark their content is a strong deterrent against unauthorized copying or distribution.”

NAGRA NexGuard Forensic Watermarking is available to eligible Frame.io Enterprise users and uniquely watermarks content delivered and published to each user. Frame.io will be able to forensically watermark each video asset played by a viewer on their workstation including Camera to Cloud dailies. Should unauthorized distribution occur, content owners can utilize NAGRA advanced tracking and tracing capabilities to identify the source of the leak and take appropriate action.
