Update on Moral, Legal AI Concerns on Tap at April 13 CPS@NAB

As discussed during the December Content Protection Summit, the speed of the development, training, and leveraging of AI is leading many people to raise significant concerns over some of the legal and moral implications of using the technology.

At the April 13 Content Protection Summit, being held in Las Vegas during the NAB Show, the heads of law firm ioLiberum will share their thoughts on what to look out for going forward, in the presentation “An Update on the Legal and Moral Challenges of AI.”

As even more questions arise around who owns the rights to the materials which AI engines are being trained on and what is real or fake. As the use of AI or AI/ML derivative technologies becomes increasingly pervasive we need to try to find some answers. This session updates our community on the latest cases, and continues to explore this evolving technology landscape, and provides perspectives on how to weigh up the opportunities vs. the risks.

Nick Matlach, president of ioLiberum, and Evelynn Glausman, GM of ioLiberum, are set to take the CPS stage.

Attendees of the event will hear from experts on crucial M&E security topics surrounding protecting against insider threats, standards for locking out live event piracy, the importance of risk management assessments, and best practices for production crew identity and onboarding/offboarding. And the increasingly impactful role of AI on security will be front and center, as the industry grapples with its benefits and consequences.

CPS is presented by Fortinet, with sponsorship by AMD, Convergent, Digital Silence, NAGRA, Prime Focus Technologies, Eluv.io and EIDR, in association with the NAB Show. The event is produced by MESA and the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA).
