Convergent Risks Examines Localization App Security at CPS EU

The realities of remote work brought about some wonderful technical advances in application technology, enabling complex workflows that have been both simplified and automated. But so too has this combination of new technology and sensitive pre-theatrical post-production brought more scrutiny around ensuring content remains secure.

At the 22nd March Content Protection Summit Europe event, Mathew Gilliat-Smith, EVP of Convergent Risks, will lead a panel of experts in a discussion around the opportunities and challenges involved here, including about innovation in localisation through the use of new SaaS applications from a security perspective.

“Where new technology meets pre-release content, the studios are naturally more cautious to ensure that applications have the correct security posture in place. I am delighted to be discussing this and the outlook for new technology in localisation, with three highly experienced industry professionals which have applications for their localisation workflows,” Gilliat-Smith said of the panel “Advances in Localisation Through SaaS Application Innovation.”

He’ll be joined in the discussion by Jacques Barreau, dean of dubbing and VP for Transperfect, Rick Soto, VP of global IT and security for Pixelogic, and Allan Dembry, CIO of Iyuno-SDI.

The eighth annual Content Protection Summit Europe event is produced by MESA in association with the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA), and presented by Convergent Risks, with sponsorship by archTIS, NAGRA, Signiant and BuyDRM.
