CPS EU: Friend MTS Talks Diversifying Content Protection

By now, you should know digital rights management (DRM) isn’t nearly enough of a solution to properly protect your content. At the 29th June Content Protection Summit Europe (CPS EU) event, Simon Hanna, regional VP, EMEA for Friend MTS, will share exactly why.

“It’s simple. If content is worth producing, it’s worth protecting,” Hanna said of the presentation “Collaborative Content Protection Strategies for the Complex Global Media Industry.” “This is a great opportunity to address the importance of coming together as an industry to put a comprehensive content protection plan in place to best safeguard jobs and revenue.”

Implementing content protection solutions that range from content monitoring, fingerprinting and watermarking, to enforcement and IP blocking, in a collaborative effort to protect live and VOD assets from illegal redistribution, is the only way content owners can be sure they’ve covered all their bases.

“Attendees will come away with a sense of the prevalence of large-scale content theft and the ways they can take immediate action with effective end-to-end anti-piracy solutions to tackle this ongoing global issue,” Hanna said.

Content Protection Summit Europe is presented by Convergent Risks, with sponsorship by Richey May Technology Solutions, Synamedia, BuyDRM, Friend MTS, NAGRA, and X Cyber Group. The event is produced by MESA, the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA), the Hollywood IT Society (HITS) and Women in Technology Hollywood (WiTH), under the direction of the CDSA board of directors and content advisors representing Amazon Studios, Adobe, Paramount, BBC Studios, NBCUniversal, Lionsgate, WarnerMedia, Amblin Entertainment, Legendary Pictures, and Lego Group.
