Videocites Nabs Anti-Piracy Award

Videocites and its AI-driven product suite — which provides sophisticated video tracking, copyright management and digital media reach analysis tools to the social media market — has won silver in the the Best in Anti-Piracy Award category from SportsPro OTT.  The award was presented on Dec. 1.

SportsPro OTT has brought together the sports industry business to recognize the best of various up and coming companies that are supporting the industry today, from the Best in Content Production through the Best in Anti-Piracy. A panel of judges was represented by more than 30 sports industry leaders, experts in their various domains, from across the globe.

When it comes to live events like sports and concerts Videocites Discover Live has made a major leap in the fight against social media piracy. Piracy has been a scourge to all content owners but in the past few years the rise in social media piracy has risen to unproportioned levels enabled by the ease of access of pirates and viewers to copied content.

With this win, Videocites’ ability for immediate detection and removal of all illegal copies has been recognized for not only substantially reducing piracy for its customers, but has also reached the point where pirates are giving up on their upload attempts of content that is owned by Videocites customers.

“We are so proud to win this award. We’ve been working hard in the last years to develop our technology so we could scale and handle the enormous need for social anti-piracy, which today is the most dominant type of piracy with the largest impact on all content owners. Having this recognition, together with the great feedback we are getting from our customers proves that our tech and services are making a difference,” said Eyal Arad, CEO of Videocites.

Videocites novel fingerprinting technology tracks Live and VOD content across social media platforms regardless of metadata, language, audio, or severe video manipulations. Videocites product suite provides the most sophisticated video tracking, copyright management, and digital media reach analysis tools available on the market today.
