Edgescan Founder Examines Pitfalls of Vulnerability Management at Oct. 20 M&E Day

It takes a lot today to deliver vulnerability management at scale, considering the pace of new developments, and often companies find themselves making trade-offs, choosing speed at the expense of accuracy.

On Oct. 20 at the Media & Entertainment Day — a live, worldwide virtual event, taking place during the all-new NAB Show New York digital experience — Rahim Jina, COO and co-founder of cyberattack prevention firm edgescan will share why a new approach toward tackling your potential weak spots is needed today, in the presentation “Enemy at the Gates: Why Traditional Vulnerability Management has Failed.”

“I’ll share why traditional vulnerability management has failed in keeping us secure, and what it takes to deliver vulnerability management at scale and how can we keep pace with the speed of development,” Jina said. “We’ll also cover highlights of the edgescan Vulnerability Stats report 2020, focusing on the most common vulnerabilities and what it means to deliver a robust cybersecurity program for any enterprise.”

One other highlight attendees can expect: Jina will share why hackers take the risks they take, and how you can prepare keeping their mentality in mind.

M&E Day is sponsored by IBM Security, Microsoft Azure, Shift, Akamai, Cartesian, Chesapeake Systems, ContentArmor, Convergent Risks, Digital Nirvana, edgescan, EIDR, PK, Richey May Technology Solutions, STEGA, Synamedia and Signiant, and is being produced by MESA, in cooperation with NAB Show New York, and in association with the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) and the Hollywood IT Society (HITS).
