Irdeto to Stress Collaborative Tools Against Piracy in Oct. 13 Webinar

The sheer volume of content being produced, combined with the growth in streaming outlets to handle them, has left content owners, operators and device manufacturers alike with even more anxiety around protecting it all from piracy.

On Oct. 13, Erik Hietbrink, technical product manager for watermarking and online piracy detection at Irdeto, will offer insights into why the best way to shut pirates down is by adopting a wide array of collaborative solutions, in the webinar “Fighting Piracy is a Collaborative Effort.”

Stakeholders do themselves a disservice when they don’t collaborate among all players along the distribution chain, and by utilizing a wide array of tools goes a long way toward effective content security and protecting valuable assets (and your bottom line).

Attendees of the webinar will learn why an end-to-end suite of security products — including digital rights management (DRM), Android TV services, cybersecurity investigations, and more — works best to protect all stakeholders, and they’ll hear how Irdeto’s recent partnership with IBM Aspera has gone a long way toward fighting piracy that originates during the post-production and distribution processes. That partnership created a cloud-based, pre-integrated, “pay-for-use” watermarking service that eliminates expensive integrations, and takes the complexity out of the watermarking process.

Watermarking combined with Irdeto’s Online Piracy Detection (OPD) services can help more easily manage the critical discovery phase across the global piracy landscape, by rapidly identifying infringing content. When that watermark determining the source of a pirate copy, shutting that infringement down becomes extremely simple.
