STEGA CEO to Discuss Creating ‘A Culture of Cybersecurity’ at Oct. 20 M&E Day

Today, it isn’t enough just to ensure a strong cybersecurity footing across your workplace. To truly keep your company — and your media and entertainment assets — safe, you need to “create a culture of cybersecurity.”

That’s according to Phil Ashley, CEO of comprehensive managed security firm STEGA, who’ll be sharing his insights on what it takes to truly be cyber secure during a breakout session Oct. 20 at the Media & Entertainment Day event, being held live as a worldwide virtual event, and taking place during the all-new NAB Show New York digital experience.

His presentation — “Holistic Monitoring of Threats within M&E” — will show how STEGA goes about helping clients securely monitor every corner of their business, covering everything from workstations to laptops and servers, along with networking and cloud tech, to protect company data in the office, at home and in the cloud. Cyber protection as-a-service looks at the whole picture to deliver constant feedback to ensure M&E firms are optimally protected, with STEGA working in the background to focus on the threats clients may face.

“I’ll be explaining some of the cyber scenarios you face within M&E and how to mitigate them, demystifying and simplifying cybersecurity,” Ashley said.

Attendees of the breakout will also be treated to a takeaway document that will include tips they can use to better secure their cybersecurity outlook.

Being held from 12:30-5 p.m. ET, the virtual M&E Day event will feature a series of panel discussions and presentations covering the latest in cybersecurity and content protection (Content Protection Summit), along with changes in cloud technologies and traditional IT (Hollywood Innovation and Technology (HITS), including a collection of breakout sessions hosted by top M&E vendors, all centred around the latest solutions for — and the challenges facing — the industry in today’s global remote-work business environment.

The M&E Day event will focus on what’s next on the horizon in today’s remote-work environment, and how M&E continues to function going forward, with sessions on localisation, cybersecurity, content protection, and cloud-enabled technologies.

M&E Day is sponsored by IBM Security, Microsoft Azure, Shift, Akamai, Cartesian, Chesapeake Systems, ContentArmor, Convergent Risks, Digital Nirvana, edgescan, EIDR, PK, Richey May Technology Solutions, STEGA and Synamedia, and is being produced by MESA, in cooperation with NAB Show New York, and in association with the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) and the Hollywood IT Society (HITS).
