Convergent Risks announced that it has expanded capacity in the APAC region with additional full-time security assessment resource for the region in response to increased demand from content owners.

Vice President of International at Convergent Risks, Nik Savchenko said: “We are delighted to have recruited additional resource with the appointment of Balaji Radhakrishnan, as Senior Director, APAC for based in Chennai. India. He is a highly experienced security professional having previously worked at Logitech, Techosys and Hutch Vodafone. He joins Pritam Parab, Senior Director APAC region for Convergent based in Mumbai.” He went on to say: “In the current environment where workflows are changing, we are witnessing an increase in demand for remote TPN and general security assessments as well as demand for cloud and application security reviews.”

Since the pandemic lock downs took effect in different regions, Convergent has scaled up its resources to handle remote assessments in all regions.

While Convergent been able to conduct some recent onsite TPN security assessments where travel has permitted using strict social distancing and PPE policy, the majority of assessments have continued to be remote with the option of follow up onsite assessments when travel permits. Convergent’s cloud security team is conducting an increasing range of cloud and application security reviews on SaaS applications and cloud based streaming solutions.
