NCC Group Launches Self-Service Cloud Compliance Platform (CDSA)

NCC Group has debuted “Scout,” a new client self-service platform for public cloud configuration checking. The agnostic tool allows companies to monitor configuration of their AWS, Azure and GCP public cloud deployments. While public clouds enable positive operational change for their users, ensuring their configuration remains secure is of vital importance to make sure they are not introducing additional cyber risk.

Scout is hosted on AWS, with NCC Group maintaining the service and all its components, users simply have to login, configure the accounts they would like to check and then schedule their checks. Checks can be run as a one off, or on a daily, weekly or monthly basis; there is no additional charges whether they run one scan a month or one scan per day.

Once a scan has been completed results are presented in a simple dashboard with a detailed assessment report also available to be downloaded. Users can also choose if they would like to be alerted by email of any newly discovered issues.

Benefits:

• Agnostic platform: A trusted third party tool that delivers benefits over tools delivered by the vendors themselves.
• One tool: Having all configuration checks in one place is easier and quicker than checking multiple platforms.
• Persistent monitoring: Once a system is in a production state, regular automated checks mean you can keep abreast of changes or issues as they arise.
