MESA’s Winter ‘M&E Journal’ Edition Goes Live

The winter edition of the “M&E Journal,” published by the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA), and geared toward senior media and entertainment executives who oversee their companies’ digital futures, is now available online.

The 108-page production features insights from more than 30 MESA members, from ANG Digital to ZOO Digital, with the issue’s main focus centered on the cybersecurity and piracy issues media and entertainment companies are facing today.

Broken up in three industry areas — “Security Solutions,” “Smart Content” and “New Workflows”— the “M&E Journal” also features columns from Robert Half, Giant Interactive, and Sony Pictures Entertainment, along with thought pieces from MESA’s executive leadership.

Here’s a quick look at what’s included in each section:

• For “Security Solutions,” Alex Nauda, CTO for MediaSilo, offers insights into the struggles content companies deal with today, when it comes to securing digital screeners for early release content.

• In “New Workflows,” Robert Gekchyan, founder and CEO of ANG Digital, shares his thoughts on how media and entertainment companies have failed to take full advantage of the potentially revolutionary technologies that have recently emerged.

• In the area of “Smart Content,” Alan Porter, senior solutions marketing manager for OpenText, tackles the importance of metadata with media assets, and how making content “smart” leads to more user engagement.

Beginning Thursday, Jan. 18, look for stories from the winter edition of the “M&E Journal” every week in the “M&E Daily” newsletter.
